Taking Your Vape On A Plane

The quick answer to 'can i take my vape and kit on a plane?' is yes. You can take your vape on a plane but there are a few rules you need to follow to make sure the security guy doesn't get the pleasure of throwing it all in the trash right in front of you.

One:

You must carry your vape/e-cigarette on you or in your cabin bag. These items cannot be in your check in/hold bag.

Two:

Put your tanks and batteries in a clear plastic bag and put your eliquids in another clear plastic bag. Make sure that each bottle of juice is no bigger than 100ml and the total amount of juice does not exceed 1000ml of juice, i.e 10x10ml bottles is okay.

Three:

You are not aloud to use or charge your device on the plane, So don't do it! Oh, and you are not a ninja, so don't even try and vape in the toilet, because there is some evidence that airlines have changed their on board smoke alarms to detect vapour as well as smoke. Even if they haven't, can you imagine the looks as you step out the door in a cloud of smoke, it won't end well for you!

Always check with the company you are flying with. This will save you any surprises at security.

Five:

Do a lot of research about the country you are going to. Some countries have different rules about e-cigarettes and there have been a few documented stories of vaping equipment being mistaken for weapons. For example Dubai seems to be one of the worst culprits at the moment for confiscating vaping equipment, so again do as much research on where you are travelling to as possible.

Six:

Most airports in the world will not allow you to vape within them. If you are lucky enough to land at an airport that does have smoking areas, vaping in these areas is aloud.
