Asmodus Snow Wolf 90w TC Review

First off let me start by saying that i think this is a great little mod. Fair enough it isn't the most powerful on the market and yes it only having the capacity for one 18650 battery isn't the most convenient, but with those two negatives in mind, this is still a great piece of kit.

When you take the snow wolf out of it's box you are first hit by it's awesome looks. It feels solid and tough and i personally love the snow wolf decal on the side. The shell of this unit feels like glass, actually it is made from Stainless steel and Zinc alloy, but it does feel like glass. Let me say one thing, if you are bugged by finger prints on your things, then this isn't the mod for you. Within about 4 seconds of me holding this device, it's beautiful shiny exterior was covered in finger prints and marks. A quick wipe gets them off, but still, it may annoy some of you reading this, so i thought it best to point it out. It has a magnetic battery door for easy swaps, which fits nice and snug to the unit,  solid  plus and minus buttons, and what feels like a nicely made power button for firing.

The snow wolf 90w is obvious 90 Watts in power and in temperature control mode can be cranked up to 662f or 300c. For me, this is plenty of power, and with my Uwell Crown tank strapped on, i rarely go above 60w. Still for some of you this may not be enough power, especially you builders and drippers out there. For you guys i would probably recommend the new Snow Wolf 218w that is coming soon. If this is enough power or temperature, and you do build, bear in mind that this unit supports Nickle, Titanium and Kanthal Wires, which is a good touch.

The menu on this is very straight forward and unlike other devices i have tried, you don't need a degree in computing to figure it out. Okay, slight exaggeration, but you know what i mean, some of the Mods out there are just made way too complicated and not very user friendly, It is quick to switch between the different modes and firing options and also, its nice and bright for easy viewing

Overall this in an awesome unit. If 90w is enough for you and you want your first try of temperature control whilst vaping, this could be the Mod for you. If you can stretch to a little more money, the Asmodus Minikin could be a better buy as it takes two 18650 batteries and reaches higher power. I personally went for this because it has the right power range, supports temperature control and the fact that it looks and feels awesome was a big selling point for me. But remember 'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder' you may actually think that this looks like a dead fish wearing a shell suit, so as i would always say....Get to the shop and try one out!!
